I’m Jacqui — an Australian artist and surface pattern designer based on the beautiful Central Coast near Sydney. I create bohemian, vintage, and nature-inspired surface pattern designs for wallpaper, fabrics, and home décor, with artwork available for art licensing and creative collaborations.
My work blends nostalgic colour palettes with relaxed, modern interiors, resulting in patterns that feel warm, timeless, and personal. I love designing artwork that helps brands, interior designers, and makers bring character, creativity, and story into the spaces and products they create.
Hello, I’m Jacqui ...
My Creative Journey
Art, colour, and pattern have always been a part of my life. I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t drawing, collecting beautiful stationery, or being completely absorbed by books, textiles, and design.
I trained as a graphic designer, earning a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Graphic Design, and spent more than 17 years working as a graphic designer, art director, and freelance designer within the marketing industry. Discovering surface pattern design was a true turning point — it brought together illustration, textiles, colour, and storytelling in a way that instantly felt right.
My graphic design background gives me a strong technical foundation when creating seamless repeating patterns, including colour development, print processes, and prepress knowledge. This allows me to create licensing-ready artwork that translates beautifully across wallpaper, fabric, and home décor products.
Inspiration & Style
My surface pattern designs are inspired by bohemian living, vintage textiles, and the quiet beauty of nature, with a modern vintage sensibility running through everything I create. I’m endlessly drawn to old wallpaper, traditional florals, and decorative textiles, particularly influences from the Arts & Crafts era, Indian block prints, Japanese kimonos, and richly patterned European and Russian textiles.
Travel, culture, and everyday moments at home also play a big role in shaping my work. A colour palette spotted on a journey, a treasured vintage find, or the feeling of a lived-in space often becomes the starting point for a new design. Most days you’ll find me in my home studio, cup of tea in hand, sketching flowers, birds, rainbows, and organic motifs — slowly building them into seamless patterns designed to feel relaxed, nostalgic, and timeless.
Where My Designs Live
My surface pattern designs are created to be versatile and adaptable across a wide range of applications. They are designed for use on wallpaper and wall coverings, interior décor, and fabric collections, as well as textiles for quilting, sewing, and handmade projects. My artwork has also been used across children’s and baby products, bedding, accessories, apparel, swimwear, and lifestyle ranges.
Each design begins with hand-drawn or digitally illustrated elements and is thoughtfully developed into seamless, print-ready patterns with a retro bohemian feel. I love creating collections that work beautifully across interiors and products, allowing designers and brands to style them in ways that feel cohesive, warm, and personal.
Licensing & Collaboration
My surface pattern designs are available for art licensing across wallpaper, fabric, home décor, and lifestyle products. I offer an extensive catalogue of licensing-ready designs, with the option to customise colourways or develop collections to suit your brand or project.
Whether you’re a brand looking to license artwork, an interior designer sourcing distinctive wallpaper or fabrics, or a maker creating something special, I’d love to collaborate and help bring your vision to life.
Let’s Create Something Beautiful
I love seeing my designs out in the world — styled in homes, sewn into garments, or featured in thoughtfully designed products. If you’d like to explore my work or discuss a collaboration, you’re warmly invited to get in touch.
